How to remove dirt bike graphics
So you've got some old graphics to remove before applying your new kit—here's how to do it right.
1) Warm the graphics up (optional)
Warming the old graphics with a heat gun or hair dryer can help soften the adhesive, making them easier to peel off. This step isn't always necessary, but it can save time in some cases.
2) Pull them off
Start pulling off the old graphics. Don't worry too much about the adhesive left behind, we'll deal with that next.
3) Remove leftover adhesive with a trick
Take one of the removed graphic pieces and press it onto any leftover adhesive, then rip it off like a sticker. Repeat this a few times to pull up most of the sticky residue. It works surprisingly well.
4) Dissolve the remaining adhesive
For any remaining adhesive, we recommend rubbing alcohol. It evaporates clean and won't leave residue. Other options like WD-40 or Goo Gone can work too, but make sure to thoroughly clean off any oily residue afterward.
5) Clean your plastics
If you used a solvent that leaves residue, wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol. Any leftover cleaner can prevent your new graphics from sticking properly—so this step is key.
